Assign an Idea Owner

Assign owners to ideas to specify the user responsible for evaluating and accepting or rejecting the idea.

To assign an idea owner:

1. In the object selector, select  Idea, and then select View Ideas List.
2. In the table, select an idea name.
3. In the sidebar, select  Home.
4. Select the Action menu, and then select Assign Owner.
5. In the Assign Owner dialog box, complete the following:
   • Select User: The owner assigned to an idea. The idea owner is responsible for accepting or rejecting ideas.
   • (Optional) Notify Users: One or more users to notify upon assigning the idea owner.
   • (Optional) Comment: A short description or note that will be sent to notified users.
6. Select Assign Owner.

   Notes:

   • Only users configured as idea owners can be assigned as idea owners. For more information about configuring idea owners, see Configure Routers and Owners for Ideas
   • The status of the idea is automatically changed to Owner Assigned upon owner assignment.
   • The user assigned as owner of the idea will receive a notification upon assignment.

Tips

• You can also assign an idea owner using the  Context menu on the Ideas List page.
