Accept an Idea
Accept ideas to progress them through your organization's workflow and prepare them for further investment and processing.
To accept an idea:
- In the object selector, select Idea, and then select View Ideas List.
- In the table, select an idea name.
- In the sidebar, select Home.
- Select the Action menu, and then select Accept or Accept and Create Project Proposal.
- (Optional) In the Accept or Accept and Create Project Proposal dialog box, complete the following fields:
- Reason: A justification for accepting the idea.
- Notify Users: One or more users to notify upon the acceptance of the idea.
- Comment: A short description or note that will be sent to notified users.
- Select Accept or Accept and Create Project Proposal.
Note:
- The idea owner or another user who is accepting the idea must have the appropriate security privileges to accept the idea. You must also have the permissions to add project proposals if choosing the option to Accept and Create Project Proposal.
- The status of the idea is automatically changed to Accepted when the idea is accepted.
Tips
- You can also accept an idea using the Context menu on the Ideas List page.
