Using Ideas to Initiate a Project Video

Primavera Cloud enables you to identify ideas worth accepting and potentially implementing as projects. Employees, contractors, and users submit new ideas for organizational goals or improvements, and the appropriate users make decisions to progress the idea through the designated idea workflow. The application provides powerful tools for idea processing and analysis, including evaluation categories and an investor map, that enable owners to make high-level quantitative comparisons between submitted ideas.

Key Features

• Designate idea routers and owners at the workspace level.
• Create users in Global Admin with the Idea Submitter Only user type. These users do not need a license, but they will be able to log in to the application and submit new ideas for their companies.
• Ideas comes with default forms and a default idea workflow, but you can use the Workflows and Forms app at the workspace level to customize the ideas creation and workflow process. You can create new Add Idea and Edit Idea forms, or view and edit the system form. You can also use the Workflows and Forms app to create custom idea workflows, or view and edit the system workflow.
• You can create project proposals directly from approved ideas when using the default ideas workflow if a project proposal workflow is configured.
• Upload files using the Files app to provide further information about an idea.
• Determine an evaluation score for an idea to help with idea processing and decision making.
• Display configurable idea data on the Investor Map to assist idea owners as they evaluate and make a decision on an idea. Additionally, decision makers can use the Investor Map when deciding which ideas from a workspace to prioritize when implementing new projects.
• Use the Related Items app to link an idea to similar ideas and projects. Additionally, after a project proposal has been created from an accepted idea, use the Related Items app to link the idea to the new project proposal. Links are automatically generated when using the default ideas workflow to create a project proposal.
