Ideas Security Privileges Definitions

When creating a permission set, use the following definitions to determine the functionality each privilege controls and other privileges that may also be required. Selecting one privilege may automatically select other privileges if they are required for the original privilege to function properly. These other privilege selections cannot be changed without affecting the selection of the original privilege. Any privilege requirements are noted in the definition.

Accept

Enables users to accept a submitted idea or withdraw an accepted idea.

To create a project proposal from an accepted idea, a user also needs the Add privilege for Project Proposals at the workspace level. A user does not need the Accept privilege for an idea to create a project proposal from an already accepted idea.

Assign Owner

Enables users to assign an owner to an idea. Idea owners are responsible for evaluating and accepting or rejecting ideas.

Evaluation

Enables users to access the Evaluation page in the Strategic Alignment app.

The Edit privilege enables a user to edit the Evaluation page to rank an idea against evaluation subcategories to calculate the idea's evaluation score. An evaluation score can only be calculated when the status of the idea is Submitted. The Edit privilege for Idea must also be enabled to edit the Evaluation page.

If you select the Edit privilege, the View privilege is also selected and cannot be changed.

Idea

Enables users to edit and delete ideas.

The Edit privilege enables a user to edit idea details, such as the idea name or ID, on the Idea Home page. It also enables a user to submit an idea, link an idea to a project or idea in the Related Items app, or assign a code to an idea in the Idea Summary & Settings.

If you select the Delete privilege, the Edit privilege is also selected and cannot be changed.

Reject

Enables users to reject a submitted idea.

Reopen

Enables users to reopen a rejected idea for reconsideration.

Set As Draft

Enables users to set an idea as a draft.
