Submit a Commitment for Approval
After you have set up a commitment and its initial values and line items, submit it for approval.
When your commitment is approved, it becomes official. You will no longer be able to change its general values or line items on the Contracts page, but you will be able to make change orders for it on the Change Orders page.
To submit a contract for approval:
- In the object selector, select ﱆ Project, select View Projects List, and then select a project name.
- From the Main Menu, select Contracts and Commitments, and then select Commitments.
- In the table, select the commitment that you want to submit for approval.
- Select Actions , and then select Submit.
- In the Submit dialog box, in the Notify Users field, enter all users that you want to be notified of the approval request.
The users you select here should have the privileges to approve and reject contracts. They will each receive an email and inbox notification about the submission.
- In the Comment field, enter any information that you want to send to the users you entered in the previous step.
- Select Submit.
You will receive a notification when the commitment has been approved or rejected.
