Create a Report Layout
After you have selected the data to include in your report or print layout, the next task is to specify its look and feel. The display settings that you configure for a report or print layout are known as the layout. A layout represents a configuration of display settings that is associated with a report or print layout, saved as a separate object. At runtime, the layout is used to render the display of data on the report or print layout. Reports and print layouts have different layout requirements.
Reports
You can use the formatting functionality provided by the Primavera Cloud Report Editor to create a layout for your report. If you have the necessary privileges, you can also use BI Publisher to create layouts for your reports. BI Publisher-based layouts enable you to configure advanced formatting options for reports, such as incorporating business data elements and other interactive components.
Each report can support one Primavera Cloud layout and multiple BI Publisher-based layouts. Users can choose which layout to use to generate a report at runtime. Report layout creation is initiated from the Report Editor.
Print Layouts
In order to achieve the proper look and feel of a single-record report, print layouts must be associated with a BI Publisher layout. Create and configure a BI Publisher layout to run a print layout against a single object.
Each print layout can support multiple BI Publisher-based layouts. Users can choose which layout to use to generate a print layout at runtime. Print layout creation is initiated from the Report List or Print Layouts page.
