Monitor Budget Negotiations for a Proposed Budget Plan Scenario

Monitor the status of the budget negotiations with the project managers for each project in the budget plan scenario using the Budget Planning page. Comments are captured in the Discussion dialog box and change requests and approvals are indicated in the Budget Review Status column as well as in the Discussion dialog box for each project.

To monitor a budget plan scenario review:

1. In the object selector, select  Portfolio, and then select View Portfolios List.
2. Select a portfolio name.
3. From the  Main Menu, select  Cost and Funds, and then select Budget Planning or Published Views.
4. Select an analysis view.
5. Select the shared scenario.
6. In the Show list, select Included Projects.
7. View the Budget Review Status column to review the status of the budget negotiations for each project. The values are Pending, Changes Requested, or Accepted.
8. Select  Discuss Budget for the project to open the Discussion panel for the project.

Tips

• When the status of a scenario is Proposed, the scenario cannot be updated. To make changes to the scenario, the status must be set back to In Planning by selecting the scenario  menu and selecting Plan. If the scenario is set back to In Planning, project managers will not be able to view the proposed values. The scenario proposal must be shared again to continue with budget negotiations.
