Compare Workspace Import/Export and Workspace Copy
There are two main ways to create a workspace based off of data from another workspace. You can utilize the import or export of configuration data or directly copy data from one workspace to a new workspace. There are some key differences in the workspace data impacted by each option, and those differences are shown in the Workspace Data Impacts Table.
Workspace Configuration Import/Export
The import and export Primavera Cloud configuration data feature enables application administrators to copy a configuration set from one workspace to another. You can select to export all data, or you can create a custom data set. If you want to export and import workspaces, you must select all data. Customized data sets can only be imported in existing workspaces.
Workspace Copy
When creating a new workspace, the workspace copy feature enables you to create a new workspace with data from an existing workspace.

- Configured fields not included in both Workspace Import/Export and Workspace Copy: Company, Program Cost Sheet, Program Budget, Program Budget Changes, Program Budget Details, Program Budget Transfers, Task Constraint.
- Restricted configured fields are only available for projects, portfolios, and programs.
