Download an Import Template for Importing Custom Log Items

Download a Microsoft Excel template to use when importing custom log items. You can download the import template if you have the Edit privilege for the custom log. Each custom log has its own import template.

There are two template options for custom log items: Empty Template or Template with Data. Download the Empty Template to fill it out with new custom log items. Download the Template with Data to export the existing custom log item data. You can edit the existing data in the spreadsheet and then import your changes back into the application.

To download an import template:

1. In the object selector, select ﱆ Project or  Program, and then select a project or a program from the list.
2. From the  Main Menu, select  Custom Logs, and then select Log List.
3. On the Log List page, select a custom log.
4. Select Actions , select Download Import Template, and then select Empty Template or Template with Data.

Tips

• The import template is downloaded as a Microsoft Excel file with the default file name CustomLogImportTemplate-Name, with Name being the name of the custom log.
• The top two rows of each worksheet are required when importing log items from a spreadsheet. You can delete unused optional columns, but do not change the data in these rows.
