Changes Overview
Change orders and potential change orders enable you to document changes to your projects as they occur. The Changes page enables you to combine the power of change orders and potential change orders to make sure all subcontractors involved in updated commitments have the information they need.
When you first open the Changes page, the Change Log appears. In the Change Log, you can select the name of a change to view information about it on the Change Details page. The Change Details page has five tabs that show you detailed information about the open change:
- General: This tab shows general information about the change, including its name, reasons for occurring, and financial summary.
- Estimates: This tab provides access to the cost estimates associated with the change.
- Change Process: On this tab, the change manager can view the breakdown of costs by contract and commitment at each phase of the change. Users can also create potential change orders on this tab.
- Files: This tab enables you to link and access files related to the change. It can include scanned copies of agreements, blue prints, pictures, or any other important documentation.
- Related Items: On this tab, you can list activities, risks, and tasks associated with the change.
